		Oak Barrels All our barrels are American White Oak, hand coopered in the U.S. with very light toast. New barrels will require treatment with citric acid, soda ash, and sodium bisulfite. A standard bung ($2.00) should also be purchased. Because suppliers of small-sized wine barrels are rare, we often have a limited supply of barrels. Although we try to keep the availability posted, you may want to contact us for more information.

		Wooden Spigots Spigots are an optional accessory for wooden barrels. They can add to aesthetic appeal, but they are generally not used by wineries for their oak aging. Spigots should be selected on the basis of size, best judged by eye. Feel free to contact us for suggested sizes for a particular barrel size.
