The Original Cellar Mini-Brewery is a single stage system designed for the beginning brewer. It includes all necessary supplies for your first batch of homebrew, except for empty bottles and a boiling kettle. Ingredients for one batch are included, and you may choose the beer style below.

We also offer an upgrade to the kit. The Mini-Brewery Upgrade includes a second fermentor and the necessary accessories for two-stage fermentation.

ORIGINAL CELLAR MINI-BREWERY
This kit will produce quality homebrewed beer, ready to drink in about 4 weeks. Our easy-to follow instructions will guide the beginner through the homebrewing session, with helpful descriptions of each step in the brewing process. The Cellar Mini-Brewery includes all neccessary supplies for your first batch of homebrew, except empty bottles and a boiling kettle. The bottles may be collected at home, as long as they are clean and NOT the twist-off kind. The kettle should be at least 4 gallons capacity, preferably 5. MINI-BREWERY UPGRADE
Add this upgrade to the above Cellar Mini-Brewery to create a two-stage system. Two-stage fermentation allows the brewer more flexibility and generally produces a cleaner-tasting beer. During fermentation, the beer is transferred into the secondary fermentor, isolating it from the collected sediment. This process minimizes the yeast flavor in the finished product and produces a beer of cleaner appearance and flavor. While this method is required for quality lagers and other longer-fermenting beers, beer of any style will be greatly improved by two-stage brewing.

Ingredient Refills for Mini-Brewery
Our beginning ingredient kits were formulated to respond to our customers' increasing knowledge of the beer world, and their demand for high quality brews from the get go. These refills include one can of Alexander's malt extract, one malt extract kicker, fresh hops, specialty grains, yeast, priming sugar, and 50 bottle caps. Compared to canned kits, the inclusion of fresh hops and specialty grains adds a few simple steps to the brewing process--but does wonders for the final result. For beginning brewers who wish to brew a lighter-bodied beer with a more simplified brewing process, we recommend our EZ-Brew Refill Kits. For brewers wishing to expand their beer horizons, we recommend brewing to style with one of our Recipe Ingredient Kits.

EZ-Brew Refill Kits
For our continuing customers, or for beginners wishing to simplify the brewing process as much as possible, we still supply our previous refill kits. The use of hopped extract and brewing sugar in these kits produces a lighter style, with less hop and malt flavor in the finished product. The EZ-brew kits consist of 1 Coopers malt extract can (hopped), 1 package of dry yeast, 2 lbs. of corn sugar, 3/4 cup priming sugar, and 50 bottle caps.
